1991 Scottie Pippen sandwich commercial is best/worst ad ever (VIDEO)

Nov 8, 2013, 12:41 PM EST

This was bouncing around the interwebs today and it is simply too good not to pass along — a 1991 ad for Mr. Submarine sandwich shop featuring Scottie Pippen.

“Ladies, let’s have a party.”

From the shorts to the teased out 1990s hair on the cheerleaders to the large phallic sandwich that the girls get next to, there is just nothing not to love here. It is a perfect storm of 1990s bad.

Hat tip to Brandon Edler.

Best Part 7-9 second mark – when the two chearleaders double team that thing.

MJ in the background, “Yeah Scottie, you know your place, you take that sub.”

How did they get that sandwich to stand up like that?

    • sellahh - Nov 8, 2013 at 1:10 PM

      A s***load of viagra.

    • hdsnake867 - Nov 8, 2013 at 1:21 PM

      How? Viagra.

See, this is just one of those intangibles Pipp brought to the table. All the big stars out there hawking national chain food and here’s Scotty flyin’ under the radar !-D

    The sandwich had a boner.

I never understood how they managed to make their subs taste so greasy.

      • sportsfan18 - Nov 8, 2013 at 7:53 PM

It was all the lube of course…

      • belleby123 - Nov 9, 2013 at 7:42 AM

it still is, especially on a late nite creep.

  9. apkyletexas - Nov 8, 2013 at 2:07 PM

Far worse commercials are still being made in Pittsburgh to this day.

  10. stayhigh_247 - Nov 9, 2013 at 12:08 AM

omg, I remember this, those were the days.

  11. anhdazman - Nov 9, 2013 at 12:34 PM

This looks more like a 70′s commercial than a 90′s.
