Report: Bucks’ Larry Sanders out Wednesday, being investigated for role in bar fight

This summer the Milwaukee Bucks pulled out the checkbook to make Larry Sanders a franchise anchor — a four years, $44 million extension to his rookie deal.

This is not what they had in mind.

Sanders is out on Wednesday night against the Cavaliers with a thumb injury, it was announced before the game. But that’s not the disturbing part, rather it’s where he got that injury that could be the real issue, tweets Jeremy Schmidt of Bucksketball:

Not good.

Really not good.

The Bucks are just saying this:

We’ll see what happens here, but once Sanders’ thumb is healthy he could potentially face a league suspension.

Sanders has been frustrated this season with reduced minutes under new coach Larry Drew. Sanders saw himself as the center on this team in the wake of that new contract, but Drew is leaning more on Zaza Pachulia.

This is not going to help Sanders’ cause.
