Chris Paul is the “Point Gawd,” goes off for 23 and 17 on Rockets (VIDEO)

Nov 5, 2013, 10:42 AM EDT

If you want to know why most people around the league rank Chris Paul third on the list of best NBA players, watch this video.

He went up against Jeremy Lin and a very porous Rockets defense on the night and just dominated the game with 23 points and 17 assists. He was setting up J.J. Redick, throwing lobs to Blake Griffin and pretty much getting whatever shot whenever he wanted. He crossed up Lin one play and was knocking down a three the next.

The Clippers have far and away the best offense in the NBA after this game (116 points per 100 possessions) and Paul is the Maestro conducting the symphony. Now, about that defense….

CP3 is playing as good as I have ever seen him play. He may be ranked the 3rd best player in the NBA but right now he is playing as good as anyone including Lebron.

Doc the rest of the Clippers and their fans better pray CP3 stays healthy because waithout them they are a borderline playoff team in the WC.

      Should have said “without him”

CP3 gets my vote as the 2nd best player in the league. He’s just so complete. Durant is much too one dimensional for my tastes.

I was at the game 8 rows behind the Houston bench and despite the final score Doc made adjustments at the half that improved the defense.

Not to mention, we had out 2nd &3rd string guys in around 8 minutes to go in the 4th. You could easily take 10-14 points from the rockets score had it been the starters.

The Clippers WILL finish the regular season top 3 in the NBA in offense & defense. Mark this post.

One of the most fun games I’ve ever watched period. Can’t wait to open the can of whoop arse in Houston. Go Clippers!!!

When was the last time any player had the ball as much as CP3 does so far early this year. To average 26 PPG and 13 APG, that is insane. Chris Paul is the best player in the western conference right now. Sorry Durant.
