Derrick Rose gets the sick bounce pass to Luol Deng for the finish (VIDEO)

Oct 31, 2013, 10:41 PM EDT

Derrick Rose was playing through a neck injury against the Knicks on Thursday, which may be part of the reason for his 2-of-11 shooting performance in 16 first-half minutes.

But his court awareness and ability to get the ball to his teammates remained as sharp as ever, and it was showcased nicely on this crisp bounce pass that Rose was able to get into the hands of Luol Deng after being bothered by Raymond Felton‘s defense.

I thought the same thing. But it was so close I understand why it wasn’t called. Still a gnarly pass though.

You would’ve heard a whistle there if Rose was a nobody. But that’s the game – and Rose complains about not getting superstar treatment…

You can pause the video and see that his foot came down before he released the ball. Whatevs. Game was still a good one.

A travel could’ve been called, a jump ball could’ve been called, or a foul could’ve been called. A non-call makes the most sense. Sorry trolls!

That definitely looks like a travel. His right foot hit the floor before the pass. He got away with one.
