Jrue Holiday welcomes Pelicans fans on behalf of the Sixers (VIDEO)

Oct 30, 2013, 9:30 PM EDT

Jrue Holiday played his first four NBA seasons in Philadelphia, before being traded to the Pelicans this summer.

We point this out because maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t necessarily the best choice to address the hometown fans of his new team before the season opener tipped off in New Orleans.

Whoops. He’ll be forgiven if he plays like he did the last couple of years.

if u watched him play a single game in the past couple years youd realize he is the “anti-clutch.” when the game is on the line, his eyes get wide, he bugs out, and throws the ball away. it happened time and time again

hes super young and is still honing his skills, so im not sayin give up hope on him just yet. but all in all, he didnt play that well
