Nick Young signed with the Lakers in the offseason on a one year contract, with a player option for a second.

The dollars aren’t the reason that Young signed in Los Angeles, however. He was born and raised in Southern California, and couldn’t be more excited to be playing for the city’s most storied NBA franchise.

But don’t take my word for it. Check out the video clip below that Young posted to his Instagram page, which shows him being introduced as a member of the Lakers in the NBA 2K14 video game that’s set to release on October 2.

It’s clear that Young, like the rest of us, can’t wait for the season to get started.

You mean P-Smoove? Oh we aren’t doing the nickname thing all year? Damn.

haha, the NBA will do PSA’s with nicknames… next one…

“Avoid the Big Ticket, please don’t drive drunk”, Kevin Garnett.

Nick Young, JR Smith, Terrence Ross… I swear, playing with those guys on NBA 2k feels like prime Jordan with a 3pt shot.

Is it just me, or is EA taking control of the planet ? LOL

EA just announced they aren’t putting out NCAA football ’14. Their vice like grip may be weakening.

I keep thinking about those big shots he hit against Memphis when the Clippers came back.

If clearly Kobe, Pau, Swaggy and Wes Johnson are starting, is Nash still playing the PG? And who’s the PF out of those 4 if Pau has to move over to C? Methinks he changed the lineup! That’s not the factory starting 5!

Have fun riding the bench man. D’antoni only plays 6-7 guys only.

    • asimonetti88 - Sep 26, 2013 at 11:34 AM

      He’s going to be starting.

I really don’t like Nick’s game, but in this stop gap year, his game fits the plan. Don’t care that his 2nd yr is guaranteed, but it’s cheap. Nick IS coming home, and he has always wanted to be a Laker.

The Lakers will be exciting, will make the playoffs if Kobe is healthy, but won’t advance, and thank goodness it’s only for this year. Got to lower our expectations this year.

Im looking forward to Young, Johnson and Farmar running the floor. Finally we will have a respectable bench again. Even if Young starts the additions of Farmar and Johnson elevate our bench out of the joke category.
