Harrison Barnes calls Warriors’ season ticket holder, buys his seats (VIDEO)

Sep 6, 2013, 4:59 PM EDT

Golden State fans are rightfully pumped about this season. This was a team with some of the worst ownership in sports for so long that last season had a young core led by Stephen Curry that took them to the second round of the playoffs. Then this summer they went out and added Andre Iguodala to the roster. Golden State is dangerous next season.

Fans get it and have responded — they have sold more than 14,000 season ticket packages for next season. So as a promotion the Warriors had Harrison Barnes call up the guy that put Golden State over the 14,000 number and buy his seats for the season.

This guy took it far more calmly than I would have.

Hat tip to Ball Don’t Lie.

I love me some Miami hoops, but them Warriors is looking good. I love watching Warriors games, that crowd is intense. Watching a game on television while a crowd is going bananas makes the experience infinitely more enjoyable.

Man I’m a life long Lakers fan that lives in Southern California, I attend at least a few games at staples a year and I love going of course. I went to a Warriors game at oracle a few years ago and the difference is insane. If anyone has a chance to see the warriors in Oakland, PLEASE do it. I went to another one last year and am planning to again this season. That home crowd does it right.

they have this loud mouth master of cermonies with a mike during every time out trying to pump up the crowd, sounding like a cross between Michael Buffer, The Rock, and
I thought the whole presentation was tacky and worthy of a circus.
But, man, that Curry sure can play the game.

    Super-Cool !!!

You know, we need more stories like this ! Guys doing good in the hood.

LBJ purchased a bunch of stuff for children in his hometown and that got some publicity.

But there are hundreds of NFL and NBA guys that give back substantially to their communities or adopted communities.

But most all media in the states is a variation of The Enquirer….the stories with the most scandal get the headlines.

Stoopid J.R. Smith is in trouble again…that will get played every hour, on the hour, until the ratings drop because a bigger scandal is unveiled.

    Great Job H.B.
