Dikembe Mutombo’s story told… interestingly (VIDEO)

Aug 23, 2013, 3:49 PM EDT

I’m not exactly sure how to describe the new adidas House of Mutombo ad, but I know I like it. Does that make it art?

It’s all up to you — eye of the beholder and all that — but this is pretty interesting. It’s not the oddest Mutombo video, but it’s interesting. It also reminds you Deke racked up a whole lot of hardware and accolades in his NBA career.

I miss having him and his finger wag around the league.

I also miss quality big men like Mutumbo. His finger wag was icing on the cake.

And I was hoping to never hear his voice again. I wonder why the video didn’t mention all of the concussions he dealt out with those lethal elbows of his?

No mention of his time spent on seseme street eating cookies.

If goodell was commissioner of nba he would fine him for the finger wag

Guys I watched this video and I was forcefully reminded of how much we miss quality big men who can hustle. One thing you could never accuse Olajuwon, Mutombo, Robinson, etc of is lack of hustle. Those guys were big but could run with anyone down the court. What happened to our youth? Did we get soft somehow or did development and attitude just changed?

Would love to hear the update on his arrest for smuggling gold .
