Kobe Bryant posts clip of him running on treadmill (VIDEO)

Aug 19, 2013, 2:27 PM EDT

If you’re a Lakers’ fan, this may be the most exciting 15 seconds of what is probably the most boring piece video of you’ve ever seen.

If you’re unsure of exactly what you’re looking at, that’s Kobe Bryant running on an anti-gravity treadmill that allows the user to run on less than their full body weight. Clearly Kobe is advancing in his rehab and wanted to share that information with his fans.

That said, the next natural question is: what percentage of his body weight is Kobe actually running on?

That little piece of information would give us some real insight into how far along Kobe actually is in his rehab. If Kobe is running on half (or more) of his body weight, I’d think that’s significant progress towards an early-ish return and would fall in line with him saying he’s shattering his rehabilitation timeline. If he’s still on the low end of the scale of his body weight, maybe he’s not as far along as many would hope.

In any event, what is clear is that Kobe is coming along in his recovery. How far along remains an unknown. So don’t go betting the house on Kobe playing on opening night just yet.

Once you get done swinging from D-Rose’s nads you should watch the video again.

I know he isn’t gonna be the same player, but I’ll take Kobe @ 85% of what he was last yr, over 85 to 90% of the league!! Lets go LAKESHOW!!!!

I have so much love and respect for Kobe I would take a 50% Kobe over 100% of the players in the L. I am so grateful he plays for the Lakers and for every year since his rookie year. I will ride and/or die with Kobe on my team until he decides to hang ‘em up, win or loss, no matter what.

    This man isn’t human

He’ll back to taking 40% of the shots in no time. Who knows, he may get the Lakers the 8th seed, so they can get swept and get no good draft picks.

What’s next? A shot of Kobe taking a dump?

    • ranfan12 - Aug 19, 2013 at 7:11 PM

Lol if there’s a chance you click on it, I don’t see why they wouldn’t

Could be interesting though, Lakers’ fans could analyse the angle of his ankle while making the delivery …

Damn that AG treadmill looks nice real nice. Gonna have to get me one in a few years lol

Stoutfiles, Kobe is a proven winner, what’s your excuse? You can only dream Stoutfiles, that you would have the career that Kobe’s had.
