Matt Barnes returns to Bay Area for pro-am action (VIDEO)

Aug 9, 2013, 3:31 PM EDT

I like Matt Barnes. Off the court he’s calm and at times thoughtful. On the court he’s the kind of guy you love to have on your team and hate if he is on the opposing team. The Clippers did well to keep him around for next season.

This is him returning to the Bay Area to get in a little pro-am run and hang with old friends, something he does annually. It’s a fun watch.

Hat tip to SLAM.

Never could have figured out that you like Matt, Kurt. Three articles in the last week or so on a ‘3 and D’ guy that doesn’t play for a marquee franchise would have tipped your hand.

He’s not a great player but I know he’s worked dang hard and so I respect him and am happy he got a multi year deal.

Again, everyone who views this blog sees dirtydavis reduce his b-ball cred with a simple comment.

Kurt, it’s obvious that you like Matt Barnes. I’ve read 13 Matt Barnes posts since the season ended. I like the guy too but I think he’s been called underrated so often now that he’s actually overrated.

Every time I see Matt Barnes I’m reminded of the time he told Wooderson that Melba Toast’s tires were pizza cutters.
