The Suns introduced a new home court design last season, but didn’t get the approval from the league in time to roll out the new uniforms that were supposed to echo the club’s new-look theme.

A year later, the Suns will in fact have new uniforms for next season.

The team has been releasing little teases of the new look, and will unveil it all officially during a local fashion show on August 15th.

From Suns.com:

The Phoenix Suns will add some style to an action-packed summer when they unveil their new uniforms during a runway show at Scottsdale Fashion Square on Thursday, Aug. 15. The public reveal will take place at 7 pm inside Fashion Square on the east end of the first level, just outside of Barneys.

Suns players Eric Bledsoe, Alex Len, Archie Goodwin and P.J. Tucker will reveal the new look, with Suns Ring-of-Honor members Alvan Adams, Tom Chambers, Walter Davis and Dick Van Arsdale, as well as alumni Eddie Johnson, Steven Hunter and Tim Kempton all scheduled to participate. Legendary radio play-by-play broadcaster Al McCoy, as well as Suns President Jason Rowley, will also play a role in the highly anticipated event.

The new logos released by the team gave us an indication of what things might look like, but we’ll have to wait a couple more weeks to see exactly what the Suns have in store for their players to wear next season.

    Lol. I’m so bummed out of this, because I just recently ordered the Suns alternative shorts for like $60 and now this happens.

    Spoiler alert: they’ll still be hideous.

    Can’t be any worse than the current (fingers crossed)

    This team are in a prime position to rebuild by grabbing one of the superstar 3s in this upcoming draft and pairing him with Goodwin, Bledsoe, Len etc.

    @bifford

    I doubt it. The Suns always have nice uniforms.

    Trying to take away the purple and go with orange and black. All I can say is winners dont need to keep changing things every few years. To add alternate unis is one thing but to revamp to such a degree is disrespecting the history of the team. You dont see the Lakers or Celtics changing their colors.

    I’m confused at the participation of alumni. Steven Hunter played for the Suns for a year. 1 year. Why would either side ever consider him a good person to have some role in rolling out new uniforms? Nothing against SH but it just seems odd.

    Yeah I think teams should pick their colors and stick with them. I’m looking at you Padres, Astros, Diamondbacks, Rays, Jazz, Hornets/Pelicans, Seahawks, etc

    Rockets next!

    Seahawks never really changed. They subtracted silver. Are you referring to the change of the shade of blue?

    Have you guys ever noticed that it’s always teams at a low point that change their colors?
