How about Clippers vs. Warriors on Christmas, too?

Aug 1, 2013, 6:19 PM EDT

Stephen Curry, Chris Paul AP

Officially, the NBA schedule comes out next Tuesday, complete with a special on NBATV and everything (6 p.m. ET).

But until then, things keep leaking out.

Like this one from Clippers beat guy Dan Woike of the Orange County Register.

We already know one of the Christmas Day games will be the Heat at the Lakers (apparently the Heat at the Spurs finals rematch didn’t work for the broadcast suits). Christmas Day has become a showcase day for the NBA (and is the first time a lot of casual fans pay any real attention to the league).

If the Clippers and Warriors are the late night Christmas dessert of figgy pudding then it sounds good to me. A little late night Chris Paul vs. Stephen Curry action will work well. Thanks Santa.

Who watches meaningless regular season NBA games on Christmas Day? Seriously?

Especially when every team plays each other at least twice a year. It’s not like you are missing anything.

Have some brandy & egg nog there Mr. Scrooge. It’s a day off with eating, family and some sports entertainment on tv.

Unless you’re one of those guys that would rather be working on Christmas day.

Great X-mas present for Warriors fans and a treat for all NBA fans.

“Casual” and “fans” doesn’t seem right together. Kind of an oxy moron.
