Rockets’ Terrence Jones pleads not guilty to charge of harassment of a homeless man

Jul 31, 2013, 10:57 PM EDT

Rockets forward Terrence Jones Wednesday pled not guilty to a harassment charge in his native Portland stemming from an incident where he allegedly kicked a homeless man outside a nightclub.

Jonathan Feigan of the Houston Chronicle had the details.

Everybody pleads “not guilty” at their arraignment, with any deals or a potential trial still in the future. It is likely some kind of plea deal is reached before this ever gets to any kind of trial.

Smart money says Jones and the Rockets simply want to have this go away as quickly and quietly as possible.

If this is true what a dirt bag.. Some people earn really good money & make something of themselves and totally lose sight of being humble.

Here’s to hoping Terrence suffers a horrible injury, develops a severe pain-killer addiction and finds himself homeless in a few years.

So I guess they’re not putting you on the jury

You are right, I’d never qualify as an unbiased juror. I have problems remaining objective when people derive pleasure from hurting and humiliating the most vulnerable members of society.

I was more just referring to the whole “innocent until proven guilty” thing.

If he did what’s alleged and continued to be a person like that, he won’t be homeless. He will find home in jail.

    What??? He pled not guilty?

I’d like to see how he gets out of this one.

It was police officers that were patrolling the area that saw him do it then arrested him.

Never look down on a fellow human unless you are helping them up.
