Ben McLemore arrives with huge second half Tuesday (VIDEO)

Jul 17, 2013, 9:48 AM EDT

No. 7 overall pick and the reported best shooter in the draft Ben McLemore had played 10 quarters of unimpressive basketball in Las Vegas at Summer League…

Then the second half happened Tuesday — 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting including 3-of-5 from three, and he was perfect on all five attempts from the free throw line. He found his stroke and Sacramento Kings fans smiled.

Here is what it looked like.

His shot looked smooth out there I enjoyed watching him out there, he’s gotta keep it up though one game isn’t enough…

Summer League isn’t enough. But the same goes for all the youngsters “tearing it up” in summer league.

Ben will be a stud in this league for sure. He needs more practice of course and film watching to learn the ins and outs of this league.

King fans will have patience for him. It’s only Summer League so he’s just building his confidence as a young player. This game just shows you his natural ability and talent. The “goods” is definitely there. If he works hard on his game, I think he can be the best SG for the Kings since Mitch Richmond.

Man i wanted him to fall one more spot and end up in Detroit. He’s gonna do really well
