Marcus Morris hits Summer League game winner for Suns (VIDEO)

Jul 16, 2013, 12:56 AM EDT

Who says there is no drama with Summer League games?

The Phoenix Suns came back on the Timberwolves Sunday thanks to the Morris twins, who had 40 points and 10 rebounds combined.

But it was Marcus Morris that was the hero. After he game the Suns staff said Morris was not the first option but he was in the mix as he curled back and got the ball. But still that took a heck of a shot to win the game.

Glad Marcus is still playing well out there, he’s the one guy we shouldn’t have let go of. He was capable of starting and also played a huge role off the bench for us as a stretch forward…

does anyone know the suns projected starting 5 for the upcoming season? are the twins going to be starting

Well here’s their current depth chart

PG: Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe, Kendall Marshall
SG: PJ Tucker, Shannon Brown, Malcolm Lee, Archie Goodwin
SF: Caron Butler, Marcus Morris, Michael Beasley
      PF: Luis Scola, Markieff Morris
      C: Marcin Gortat, Alex Len

I’d imagine the starting 5 would consist of Dragic, Tucker, Butler, Scola & Gortat. There have been some rumors floating around that Bledsoe would start alongside Dragic but I don’t see them playing together until later in a game if they run a 3-guard rotation. Also nobody knows what’s going on with Channing Frye either. If he is cleared to play this year, he’ll be stealing minutes away from Markieff.

thanks. & hm pj tucker. i’d imagine they traded for bledsoe to replace him. i see they have a good set of vets though in the starting lineup. guess the youth movement in phx is in slo mo.
