Derrick Rose says he is 100 percent, will be ready to start season

Derrick Rose is going through Europe right now, trying to sell some Adidas shoes (well, basketball shoes, they do pretty well there with soccer/football cleats). The season of NBA players’ promotional tours is upon us.

As we all remember, the former league MVP sat out all of last season following ACL surgery. Back in the states a bunch of people frustrated Rose didn’t risk his health and career for their entertainment just because his knee didn’t feel comfortable and ready are still doing the silly “are you really sure he’ll be back next season?” thing. Very clever stuff, that.

Rose was in Madrid on his tour and got asked about his return and Hoopshype was there.

As we’ve said before, five games into next season these people will all love Rose again and have moved on.

As an aside, Hoopshype had one other note on Rose.

Hey Adidas are we ALL IN this year too?

Derrick Rose – redefining the term “all-in” since 2012.

    • 808raiderinparadise - Jul 15, 2013 at 4:55 PM

Hahahhaha Thanks Derrick Rose …. we really don’t care … you better win MVP, defeat the HEAT and win a title with the way you sat the bench flirting with returning all year and left your team high and dry and the media up and down. Drama Queen.

“ok… NOW I’m ready to take a run at the Heat coach”… what? 2 months ago?… who won?… where was I? ridin’ the pine dude… you were ridin’ the pine. this guy is going to have to win 2 consecutive titles and the nobel peace prize to dig himself out of that debacle.

I just did a google search of your quote and came back with exactly one match… which is what you just typed. So what the hell are you talking about?

  3. dysraw1 - Jul 15, 2013 at 12:39 PM

    that’s good news

  4. kb2408 - Jul 15, 2013 at 12:42 PM

@shanydawg, oh for Christ’s sake, get over it already!! D. Rose made the right decision to sit out the whole season. He’s going to come back a much better player and on a mission to take the Bulls to the promised land. Rose is my favorite non-LAKER. The East just got a whole lot tougher to win. LBJ, this is where not 1, not 2 ends.

I hope he has not lost a step and is truly 100%, as a basketball fan Derrick Rose is one of the most exciting players to watch.

Are you sure Derrick? Maybe you should take the 2013-2014 season to make sure your knee’s OK first buddy. No rush, take your time…

    • shanelsweet - Jul 15, 2013 at 1:57 PM

Exactly right! After all, his money is guaranteed. Better to wait another year or so until it’s time to get another contract. Or, he could just do a “Bynum” and not play at all. Some team will still pay him millions for “potential”. Sort of like Brandon Roy last year or apparently Oden this year.

After AP came back so quickly, everyone thinks it’s that easy! He is not human, he is Machine! RG111 will rush it & get hurt again…. Rose made the right call for his career! Look forward to his return

So YOU’RE the ones he’s talking about in the article. The “clever” guys. The IQ of the above posters except for mick, kb and dy must be at an astronomical 10. If you guys put your heads together you might learn how to tie your shoes. Then you can get rid of the shoes with the straps.

Good player w the most boring personality ever.

  12. fnc111 - Jul 15, 2013 at 4:10 PM

    Helin is a chump.

Rags on the fans but if it weren’t for said fans, egomaniacs like yourself and DRose wouldn’t be getting paid a penny for your current jobs.

Don’t forget to add in the nugget of Reinsdorf conning/lying to the chi fans so he could make a little extra cash last season.

  13. pop562 - Jul 15, 2013 at 5:26 PM

Welcome back Derrick Rose. He’s one of the most exciting players to watch on the Bulls and this is coming from a Lakers fan.

Did Derrick Say This Or Did His Brother???

  18. jimeejohnson - Jul 17, 2013 at 9:52 PM

Hope he ordered the squid in its own ink. It sounds gross but is one of the best dishes, ever, at least if ordered in Spain. If you don’t like it, you can always write a letter with it!
