Rocket’s GM Daryl Morey’s kids plead with Howard to come to Rockets

Jul 5, 2013, 12:44 PM EST

No this is not tampering. Maybe it should be, but it’s not.

While we all wait for Dwight Howard to have his epiphany, the daughter of Rockets GM Daryl Morey recorded a video with her and a bunch of her friends, siblings and others pleading for Dwight Howard to come to Houston. It could work because he and these kids have the same love of all things Disney.

Go ahead and dismiss this at your own risk… do you really know what motivates Dwight Howard?

What a joke of a franchise. First they sign Lin to the worst deal in the NBA because they thought they could play the race card. Now they are begging Dwight to sign. Last I checked the Warriors said here is the deal. Take it or leave it like a really franchise. The Lakers are becomin a joke now also with there banner/billboard begging Dwight to stay also.

LOL @ the Warriors as a “real” franchise.

I will be waiting for your evidence ever since the new ownership took over.

How can you say 3 years for 25 million is the worst deal in the NBA when Rudy Gay and Joe Johnsons have max contracts? Carlos Boozer and Bargnani make more than twice as much. Landry Fields is gonna make like 8 million dollars next year and he doesn’t even get off the bench. Your comment is idiotic to say the least

You realize the Warriors can’t sign Howard outright, correct? I’m no Laker fan but the Warriors would need to facilitate a sign and trade with the Lakers in order to get Dwight. The Lakers could just say no to any of their trade offers. The Warriors are the one team they hold some leverage against because they would have to take back salary in order to agree to this trade unless the Warriors can get creative with a third team in the mix.

“here’s the deal take it or leave it?” The Warriors needed to the Lakers to sign and trade. They would have held The City up for Thompson, Barnes, Lee a couple of 1st Round picks.

Darly Morey’s Kids Maturity > Dwight Howards Maturity

This is absolutely pathetic. How can a franchise have any pride if it has the children of its GM publicly begging free agents to sign with it?

Would you shop at Target if the CEO’s children made his kids and their friends send you personalized videos begging for your patronage?

Things have improved that’s for sure, but let’s wait for a couple of good seasons and deep playoff appearance before labeling GS as a great franchise. One year of success does not erase decades of irrelevance …
