Recapping the Heat’s championship parade and celebration (VIDEO)

Jun 25, 2013, 1:28 AM EDT

The Heat held their championship parade on Monday, up and down the streets of Miami and finally ending at American Airlines Arena on Biscayne Boulevard.

Once there, the team held a celebration for fans inside, where all of the players were on stage and participated in interviews and a video tribute so the fans in attendance could cheer on their hardwood heroes.

There’s a nice recap of the day’s festivities in the video clip above, and one thing that was as clear on this day as it was in the moments immediately following the Heat winning the title was that Dwyane Wade was more pleased than anyone with the accomplishment.

Now, who gets traded first- Bosh or Wade?

    • nbafandenmark - Jun 25, 2013 at 5:23 AM

Personally, I don’t believe that either one of them are going to be traded for the upcoming season. Anyways, I can’t see Miami dealing Wade at any point really, so I guess at some point, Bosh is most likely the one who is going to get traded first. Do you agree?

Is PBT going to cover the subject of Miami fans being repeatedly embarrassed on local and national broadcasts for leaving close games early during these playoffs and finals? Mass-Exodus-Gate?

The HEAT parade was a thing of beauty. In the end…. there can only be 1. GO HEAT! 3-PEAT!

  3. 1972wasalongtimeago - Jun 25, 2013 at 7:37 AM

There’s an extremely rare PJ song that Rddie wrote and im pretty sure he only played once live (that might be wrong). Anyway, it’s a tribute to the longevity of the band, the good times and bad times of being together 20+ years, and I think it’s appropriate for all the 25 year Heat fans out there who’ve been through so much, both good and bad, but now (like Pearl Jam) find ourselves riding such a big wave.

“Couldn’t have told me then that it would someday be allowed to be so in love with life, as we are now.
Never thought we would. Never thought we could.
    So glad we made it.
I’m so glad we made it.
I’m so glad we made it.
To when it all got good.”

    • cantonbound13 - Jun 25, 2013 at 11:47 AM

Did you go to the parade 72?

      • 1972wasalongtimeago - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:03 PM

Watched it on line. Loved it.

      • cantonbound13 - Jun 25, 2013 at 3:03 PM

        Smart

      • bcwildcat24 - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:31 PM

hey canton, glad to have you back. Did you finish all your crying that The Heat won?

      • cantonbound13 - Jun 25, 2013 at 3:05 PM

Never cried once. Thank you for the concern. I did however enjoy all the people referring to me on the comment board.

  4. jjones314 - Jun 25, 2013 at 7:56 AM

    Haters I need more comments!

    Don’t disappear

    Hahahahaha muhahahahahahahahah Hahahahaha hahah

    • andyhr17 - Jun 25, 2013 at 9:46 AM

No, we just left early because we knew our comments weren’t necessary to be here. We’re trying to be like Heat fans.

      • heat256 - Jun 25, 2013 at 11:19 AM

Shouldn’t you be wondering why another Boston team collapsed at home and let a title slip away?

  5. jjones314 - Jun 25, 2013 at 7:57 AM

Time to go watch “The Decision”

    Hahah

Remember Dan Gilbert said Cleveland would win a title before LBJ and Miami???

Hahahahaha Hahahahaha Hahahahaha Hahahahaha Hahahahaha Hahahahaha Hahahahaha

    • bcwildcat24 - Jun 25, 2013 at 10:10 AM

Now I’m sure what he meant to say was that Cleveland would win the #1 pick twice before the Heat won 2 championships…. technically he was right! lol

      • miamatt - Jun 25, 2013 at 12:32 PM

How many lottery picks will Cleveland get? Not one, not two….

      • bcwildcat24 - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:13 PM

        Lol!!

  6. djigel - Jun 25, 2013 at 7:58 AM

All I have to hate on is Pat Riley dancing….very Mark Madsen-esque

  7. jjones314 - Jun 25, 2013 at 8:04 AM

    Dan Gilbert has to smile…

    Haha Hahahahaha

  8. logisticalvoices - Jun 25, 2013 at 8:15 AM

Unfortunately, the parade was so long that most of the Heat fans left before it was over.

    • hehateme2 - Jun 25, 2013 at 10:15 AM

Too bad for you. It is the closest you’ll get to a Championship Parade. #redskinsareawastelandofdelusion

  9. jjones314 - Jun 25, 2013 at 9:17 AM

    Where is Dan Gilbert?

    Haha haha muhahahaha

  10. micknangold - Jun 25, 2013 at 9:43 AM

Miami fans: Fakest sports fans in the world.

    • miamatt - Jun 25, 2013 at 12:33 PM

      Jets fans: worthless and weak.

  11. canehouse - Jun 25, 2013 at 9:43 AM

    Re-Heat!!!

  12. 1972wasalongtimeago - Jun 25, 2013 at 9:59 AM

When there’s nothing bad to say about LeBron, they make fun of his hair. When there’s nothing bad to say about the team, they make fun of 1% of the richest 1% of the fans.

Next year, they’ll only be able fun of the rich bald fans.

    • miamatt - Jun 25, 2013 at 12:40 PM

You said it. Funny how 2-300 bush-league fans out of the 20,000 fans fortunate enough to be able to afford finals tickets becomes “typical Miami fans.” Down here we know that perception isn’t reality.

But yeah, when the only opposing voice left is taking lazy and gutless cheap-shots at fans, you know it’s because they have nothing left.

  13. flyrocket31 - Jun 25, 2013 at 10:07 AM

Their arena announcer is the worst i’ve ever heard. the intros during the Finals, i couldnt stand him.

    • bcwildcat24 - Jun 25, 2013 at 10:12 AM

1972, it sounds like flyrocket has found something else to make fun of. Can’t make fun of anything else, make fun of the arena announcer.

      • hehateme2 - Jun 25, 2013 at 10:16 AM

Really sad and petty. Says a lot about the person

    • miamatt - Jun 25, 2013 at 12:41 PM

Please. I swear to god there is a PA announcer boot camp that they all have to attend. There are only two types of announcers: nasal and throaty. And they are all pretty much identical. What a joke.

  14. jjones314 - Jun 25, 2013 at 10:47 AM

    @ bcwildcat

    LMFAO

    • bcwildcat24 - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:12 PM

      Lol at which post?

  15. bostonian13 - Jun 25, 2013 at 12:58 PM

I wonder if you guys would’ve had a post recapping the Spurs parade had they won.

    • heat256 - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:26 PM

Considering they are doing a blurb about the Pelicans wanting a relative unheard of Knick player, yeah, they’d cover any team’s championship celbration.

  16. 1972wasalongtimeago - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:07 PM

If you want to make fun of Miami fans, chew on this. 400,000 people at the parade, not even one arrest.
    Perfecto

    • heat256 - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:25 PM

People will still find a reason to though. Always nice to see Biscayne Blvd get to be the site of a celebration.

    • bcwildcat24 - Jun 25, 2013 at 1:32 PM

well then they’ll just say, “see the Miami fans are so mellow no one got arrested. Geez what jokes!”

  17. jjones314 - Jun 25, 2013 at 6:56 PM

    @ miamatt

HILARIUOS!!!!!!!! Back to back lottery for Gilbert and Cleveland

    Hahahahaha
