Ray Allen makes 3-pointer to send Game 6 to overtime (video)

Jun 18, 2013, 11:55 PM EDT

Ray Allen is amazingly, incredibly clutch. This is exactly why the Heat wanted him from Boston. What a huge shot.

If the Heat win this series, that will go down as one of the greatest shots in Finals history.

Allen and LeBron James will get credit for making 3-pointers to send Game 6 to overtime, but don’t forget the Heat also got both looks thanks to offensive rebounds.

Spurs are always involved in crazy last second shots!!!

      COLD BLOODED!!!!

They do seem to be on the receiving end of some pretty tough last second shots.

And, as disappointed as I was he made it, Ray Allen’s shot is just the definition of clutch. No fear.

Bad no calls late on Ginobili and Green

    • rawgator06 - Jun 19, 2013 at 12:22 AM

There were a lot of bad no calls the other way too. I am not sure how hard you need to hit LeBron for him to be able to get to the line

    • brutl - Jun 19, 2013 at 12:37 AM

You’re right, that was a travel on Ginobli.
Green definitely fouled Lebron on the break, and not for the first time.
      Very astute observations, sir

THANK YOU! the idiots see what they want to see but not actually what happened. Heat hate makes people blind apparently. That game was an amazing game and instead of just enjoying it and being thankful that basketball isn’t over just yet, they make up pathetic excuses. Oh how entertaining

You didn’t really think Stern wasn’t getting this thing to 7 did you? WWE > NBAE

    • rawgator06 - Jun 19, 2013 at 12:42 AM

So, David Stern told LeBron to hit a 3 and for Allen to hit an insanely clutch 3? Or did he tell Tony Parker to let himself get man-handled.
      Game 7 here we go

        Well they are Professional Athletes:)

But of course if this was the Lakers you’d be screaming fixed. See I do it for all the teams who are the beneficiaries of the star system created by David Stern. And I hate the Lakers for the record.

Pop puts Duncan on the bench at the end of regulation and Bosh grabs the rebound. Not many bad moves by Pop but that was glaring.

Think it was one of those 50-50 chance calls that they got the bad side of the flip

    • jamieaadams - Jun 19, 2013 at 1:04 AM

Frank Vogel thought it was an excellent move.

I have not posted once one way or another during these finals but I had to log in to say this comment was awesome!

All I saw on the last play was Ginobli tucking the ball into his chest like a runningback tucking the football into his chest getting ready to go through the line. He made zero attempt to take a shot there he just went into a crowd of arms for a foul no different than a player flopping to get a call.

I actually stopped watching after in the 4th with a minute left Lebron first dished a pass away instead of driving and then fumbled the next time he had the ball. I really though they lost and it was over, then i happened to walk back in as overtime was starting……still dunno how they came back

    Thanks Danny Ainge.

spurs gave that game away. Leonard could have sealed it with a free throw..then in ot Parker misses a free throw that changes a 101-101 game completely…then pop leaves the game with a timeout instead of calling it with 8 9 seconds left in ot and get Parker back in…yea he had a bad ot but he outplayed lebron in the last 2 minutes of regulation

    • fanofevilempire - Jun 19, 2013 at 7:30 AM

      Pop threw the game.

    • runthepicketfence - Jun 19, 2013 at 9:22 AM

Agree w/ this 100%. I thought Leonard was going to cry when I watched him step up to shoot that first one. I could tell from the look on his face that there was no way both of those were going in.
