Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Hootie late to Game 3

Jun 11, 2013, 8:55 PM EST

Just 44 minutes before Game of the NBA Finals, a report emerged Tony Parker and Tim Duncan had missed warmups because they were stuck in traffic.

But they arrived in time for tipoff:

Professional athletes are creatures of habit, and there’s no telling how an unusual warmup routine will affect their play. I guarantee they’re not happy about it, though.

The fans who aren’t yet to the arena will probably be unhappy too about missing some of the game.

At least they won’t completely miss their role.

Tim Duncan started strong (in game 3) and then I lost track of him. Guess his supporting stats made a big difference in the night of the 3-pointer barrage. Guess that is what Tim Duncan does best: whatever it takes. Just two more games to go for their 5th trophy.

    Go SPURS!

I imagine if the drivers had known Tim and Tony were going to be late they all would have gladly pulled their cars over to the left or the right and let them through. Emergency vehicles would have turned on their lights and sirens and plowed their way through traffic to clear a path.
