Shane Battier’s flops set to opera (VIDEO)

May 31, 2013, 1:29 PM EDT

“If they want to put an opera of all my charges on there or flops or whatever, go for it.”
Shane Battier

This is the Internet, you ask for it and you might well get it.

Great work by Trey Kerby of The Basketball Jones in creating this “flopera.”

This is glorious… Now they need to do one for Wade on his forays to the rim. haha

To long of a video. They need a short clip, like the LeBron clutch moment clip.

This video is awesome. They could do a hour long video of all of the heat players flopping around like fish. They are all soft as toilet paper.

Miami has their mascots all wrong. The baseball team should be called the Heat, forcing all their fans to sit outside in the sun watching that terrible team. The basketball team should be called the Marlins, all they do is flop around on deck all day long.

      …..Surely Pacer fan.

Meanwhile your team will be fishing while the HEAT go to the finals.

So if the HEAT are soft the Pacers must be ???? yeah.

And why this guy doesn’t get fined for these flops puzzles me… oh wait he’s a heat player

  4. bucrightoff - May 31, 2013 at 3:02 PM

With the exceptionally high quality at which Heat players flop, they outta become a soccer team. Real Madrid and ManU look out.

Part of the problem is that NBA refs seem incapable of calling charges and illegal screens fouls unless somebody hits the floor. Fix that first. Secondly, no more wrist slaps for the “I was hit by a sniper’s headshot” flops. If the NBA has it on tape and you look like you got yanked back by a stunt wire after a guys brushes you with his hand, you sit a game. Problem solved.

Fine him for this video Stern! Unfurl your infinite power upon his bank account, he’s making a mockery out of you!

  7. stayhigh_247 - May 31, 2013 at 5:19 PM

if he had been fined for all of his flops, he’d be playing for free right now.

  8. liveinthenow1 - May 31, 2013 at 5:23 PM

There’s like 4 total flops in this video. And it spans from college and across multiple nba teams.

Nice work. When will the MeBron version be available?

    • kavika6 - Jun 1, 2013 at 2:42 AM

They’re working on it. To compile a Lebron flop movie they need a larger budget and a twelve man crew. They’re having a hard time cutting it down to the standard 90 minutes.

I like how Ginobili looks back like he is thinking, “What the hell is going on over there?!?! Even I’ve never flopped that egregiously!” All in the middle of scoring, lol.

To quote a line from a Dylan song: “You b*stard, I’m supposed to respect you?”
