LeBron James’ monster third quarter swings game (VIDEO)

May 31, 2013, 2:08 AM EDT

For the first half of this game (and frankly most of the last one) LeBron James was passive, settling for jumpers rather than challenge Roy Hibbert and the Pacers’ size up front.

Then the third quarter happened.

LeBron probably looked the most Jordan we have ever seen of him — he screamed at his teammates in the huddle then put them on his back and carried them for a long stretch (until Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem joined the charge). It was an impressive quarter. Very impressive.

And it put the Heat up 3-2 in the series.

Pacers looked good last playoffs too. But, Miami’s proving that when other teams are getting gassed, they’re not. Other teams start off well in the series, and just can’t keep that energy. The Heat can. That’s the difference. That being said, the Heat’s passing is SLOPPY, and Wade extra-sloppy.

I’ve watched every LeBron James game for the past six seasons. Time well spent. By now, we all knew it was coming… LeBron was going to take this game over. That curse-laden speech was another great moment of a great career. And of course he backed it all up, because that’s what LBJ does now.

It’s so rare to have a talent like LeBron James who also works harder than anybody on the court and has true leadership qualities. Enjoy him while you can, everybody.

    Yeah…Lebron’s 3rd quarter was stellar, w/out question.
But in my mind…the Heat (TEAM) played an outstanding 2nd half as a whole.
    Great response by them.
I fully expect the Pacers to have answers for Udonis and the quick double team in the post tomorrow night. I also expect Broad Ripple to bounce back with a solid performance.
Game six is gonna’ be a dogfight. Go Pacers!
