Spurs coach Popovich answers two questions with one word during Game 3 sideline interview (VIDEO)

May 26, 2013, 11:00 AM EDT

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is known for giving reporters a hard time when the questions they pose aren’t exactly overly-stimulating.

After San Antonio came out with a lackluster effort to open Game 3 and fell behind by as many as 18 points in the first quarter, one could have guessed that Popovich wouldn’t be in the mood to cordially chat about Xs and Os while his team was getting torched.

Popovich made sure to end the between-quarter interview as quickly as possible, and did a fantastic job in wrapping it up in less than nine seconds.

Credit Doris Burke for knowing what she was going to get in terms of a response, and simply barreling through the mandatory two questions so that she could get out of there just as fast.

I was sure glad Memphis traded away Rudy Gay they could have use him last night!!!

The Griz wouldn’t be here if they still had Gay on the roster. Have you not noticed they are better without him?

Who gives a s@#% about those between quaters or halftime questions the sideline eyecandy asks the head coach in basketball AND football. Uesless. The only thing we fans get out of it is humor when the coach acts like an ass.

Pop makes the stupid coach interviews worth it

Gotta love Pop! Doris is a pro and knew exactly what she was gonna get from Pop. Onward!

Pop is polite when these idiots ask him idiotic questions. If I had been him, probably would have answered, “I’m amazed that someone as f***ing stupid as you can get a paying job at all. Who did you f*** to get this gig? Now excuse me, I have to go to do my job and figure out a way out of this clusterf*** of a quarter.”
