Highlights from Heat’s insane first half against Pacers (VIDEO)

May 26, 2013, 11:49 PM EDT

The numbers seem unreal: 70 points on 62.8 percent shooting, 15 assists to one turnover, LeBron James 7-of-11, Udonis Haslem 6-of-7.

The Miami Heat played about as perfect a half of basketball as they could and with that overwhelmed a very good Pacers’ defense. The result was a 14 point lead at the break that only grew in the second half to become an eventual blowout in Game 3, putting Miami up 2-1 in the series.

When a team is making plays like this, hitting shots like this, all you can really do is tip your cap to them.

Okay all of you anti-Heat people…now you cant use the “Stern wants the Heat in the Finals so he is having the refs throw the game” type COP-OUT excuse on how the Heat keep winning. Lets get this straight…for yet another game, Miami outscores Indiana in the paint yet Indiana gets waaaay more free throw attempts than the Heat. How is that? Points in the paint usually goes hand-in-hand with free throw attempts yet not in this case. If anything, the league is wanting to keep Indiana in this series by putting them on the line far more often than Miami in an attempt to keep the series close.

So whats your excuse as to why Miami is up 2-1 with momentum on their side hmmm?

Im not an anti heat guy perse, id like to see the pacers win, but miami played a great game tonight. Ive said it since westbrook went down, spoelstra needs to be fired if they dont win the title. The heat are much better than anyone left.

Those hill fouls were ridiculous. Just running in the lane and chucking up shots while screaming.

Spoelstra needs to be fired if they don’t win a title? You are the only person who believes that.

Pacers getting all the calls, hibbert allowed to hit someone on every drive. Meanwhile if bosh breathes on him he gets a foul off the ball
