Quote of the Day: Roy Hibbert happy to put his ‘nuts in line of fire’

May 24, 2013, 1:19 PM EDT

Sometimes, we forget how much playing in the NBA is like any regular job. You show up. You get kneed in the nuts. You get paid. And then you do it all again the next day.

Roy, the next time Battier acts like a fool, knock his a$$ out.

Battier puts his nuts on the line every game. He’s made a living taking charges against anyone who tries him and has absorbed just about every knee in the league.

What he doesn’t do is jump, so the knees that have been flying at him his whole career hit him in the chest. Hibbert is 6 inches taller than Battier and about 100lbs heavier. If he stood his ground, his nuts would have been fine.

        **He’s made a living flopping.

I used to love his defensive intensity with Memphis and Houston…but I can tell you that he is a complete new player with the Heat.

        For the worse.

I’m sick of players altering the game. It’s beyond annoying. Prove which team is truly better, not whoever can make the ref blow that whistle.

He’s a new player? What you just said could be more aptly rephrased, “I used to love Battier when he wore blue and red… but now that he wears black like those other guys I hate him.” You are that transparent.

Battier is dirty, how anyone can name this guy a class act is beyond me. I hope somebody knock the hell out of him next game… which won’t happen cause all he does is ride LeBron’s tail and stand behind 3pt line.

The Heat must own this guys team…

Another reason to love big Roy.

The words Battier and Dirty shouldn’t even be used in the same sentence. And the fact you were able to accomplish such a feat, reflects either your ignorance of the NBA, or just a plain low IQ in general.

Battier is in Hibberts head, the guy won’t stop talking about it.

I’d bet anything Hibbert gets dunked on tonight. Other than being tall he is weak and soooooo slow
