As expected, Dwyane Wade is a go for Game 1 vs. Pacers

May 22, 2013, 2:43 PM EDT

Dwyane Wade AP

Not that there was any real question after he played in Game 5 against the Bulls then had a week off to rest his bruised knee but now it is official:

Dwyane Wade will play for the Heat in Game 1 against the Pacers Wednesday night. So reports Tim Reynolds of the AP and the rest of media at Heat shootaround, where wade went through drills.

Wade is key for Miami in this series (along with Chris Bosh) — Indiana’s defense is going to make life difficult for LeBron James (as much as any defense can right now), which means Wade needs to step up and take advantage of his matchups. He likely will have Lance Stephenson on him a lot of the time, and Wade can abuse him (or other smaller Pacer defenders) in the post. Wade is going to have a lot of defensive responsibilities off switches as well. He has to hold up fairly well.

That said, he has held up so far this playoffs and is now coming off a week’s rest. Don’t think we need to worry about him.

Mickey Arison has tweeted out that tickets are still available for this game? Yet another example of the bandwagoners being the worst fans in all of sports. Step up 72, Pantsfree, move back, etc…Arison can’t depend on Carnival anymore. Moveback may need a note for his parole officer.

I think you meant to say Miami has the worst NBA fans. And that you hate bandwagoners.

By the way, I’d hate my life too if I lived in Canton.

I live in Miami, idiot! I’m not a Heat fan, but like the Dolphins. The 13 is representing Dan Marino. So before you try to make a point, get your facts straight, idiot!

@ Leah: check for yourself, I know it’s embarrassing but true!

    • yuwannano - May 22, 2013 at 3:49 PM

How the hell are tickets STILL available for the playoffs! Shame on you Miami!

      • leahcima1 - May 22, 2013 at 4:46 PM

They are not. Cantonjerk13 is making stuff up.

This guy is always complaining about something…..

    • ishwishfish - May 22, 2013 at 4:25 PM

      Dear Expert,

The NBA requires the host team to reserve tickets for the opposing team, the networks, the NBA itself and other various and assorted hangers-on. When these tickets are not used then they are released at the last minute. Otherwise, it’s a sell-out.

oh boy – here we go. Unused allotment of unsold tickets from opposing team, league, and broadcasters are often released the day of the game.

There had to have been concern if you have the owner tweeting it out.

Pacers are practice for the finals, Heat will win this series, maybe they
get a run from the west, Pacers can’t beat these guys.

the gimpy knee may affect his flopping ability

    • 1972sxwife - May 22, 2013 at 7:24 PM

How are the Knicks doing cantonbiatch13?

    • leahcima1 - May 22, 2013 at 4:48 PM

Didn’t you hear? Melo’s average of one assist a game didn’t quite cut it. They are home watching the Heat and the Pacers on TV.

    • cantonbound13 - May 22, 2013 at 4:49 PM

To use the famous words of your “King” James: I’ll be fine, however, you have to go back to your life after the season.

      • leahcima1 - May 22, 2013 at 4:52 PM

You’re right cantonjerk13 that winter snow sure beats the 76 degree winter beach weather here.

I was just in Miami. It was 92 degrees with sweltering humidity. It is not a nice year around climate.

    • leahcima1 - May 22, 2013 at 5:54 PM

Ever been in New York when it’s 92 degrees with sweltering humidity? Ever been in New York in Nov., Dec., Jan, Feb., March when it is 76 degrees and mild humidity with a nice breeze off Biscayne Bay? i rest my case.

Dyane the Drama Queen is going to come off the mat and play despite the agony of all his injuries. What a surprise.

    • leahcima1 - May 22, 2013 at 7:20 PM

You forgot the tag line, – and beat your but mazblast fool.
