This isn’t about Grizzlies’ fans or Spurs’ fans. This is about every city having a few complete idiots.

The Sherriff’s Office in Bexar County – which includes San Antonio — is investigating a death threat leveled at Tony Parker during the Spurs/Grizzlies Game 1 Sunday, reports NBC’s WOAI in the city.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after someone dialed 9-1-1 threatening Tony Parker’s life before the end of Sunday’s Western Conference Finals game against the Grizzlies….

“We received a call from San Antonio Police that there was a potential threat against Mister Parker,” stated Berry….

“We immediately increased security both inside the AT&T Center and outside the AT&T Center,” added Berry.

The call came from a payphone. We all know most likely the call came from a drunken gambler who lost a lot of money because Tony Parker was carving up the Grizzlies defense like a surgeon in Game 1.

But police have to take these things seriously.

I could go on a rant about it just being a game and not to take the outcome too seriously, but all of you know all that already. You know death threats are not ever funny. But apparently somebody is either stupid enough not to get that or crazy enough to actually want to harm Parker. So here we are.

Game 2 between the Spurs and Pacers is Tuesday night.

This is a NON-story! Athletes and celebs get these fake, merit-less threats all the time from drunk idiots!

I wish Lebron “crybaby” James would get a few of these fake death threats so he would be too scared to flop his way out of the locker room!

Have you ever seen the movie The Natural? It’s based on the real life story of Eddie Waitkus, who was shot by an obsessed female fan. For every meritless threat, there is a real one, and even if there is only one real threat among every 100, that only means they need to be taken that much more seriously.

And by the way, you suck for wishing that on anyone.

THERE’S A PAYPHONE?!? That’s bigger news than who called or what was said.

They should be investigating how your so called “Drunken Gambler” who watched TP carve up the grizz in game one, and knew it would happen ahead of time, called from a payphone to threaten his life which prompted extra police presence in & outside the arena for GAME 1…

Parker was in a lot more danger when two idiots named Drake and Chris Brown got in a fight at a bar. This is a non-story.

ooops i forgot they did blow them out…which could have led this “Gem of society” to know he lost his bet before the end of the game. I know we dont know who or what the circumstances were, but its fun to speculate.

There’s idiots from every fan base across the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB and etc. Today’s sports fans are out of control with comments and overzealous behavior.

    Stupidity at it’s finest!!!

Players work their a$$ off to be at this level and you expect them to not play well for an opposing team?
There is a reason why these teams are in the next round…deal with it

If you want your team to win every darn time, just play 2k13

You lose you go on with a death threat? Sheesh!
