For fun, here are the top 10 dunks of the second round (VIDEO)

While the defensive minded teams are left (not so coincidentally) and that has some fans missing the flavor of the day in the NBA playoffs (Curry?), there have been some good plays.

So for a little fun, here are the top 10 dunks of the second round of the NBA playoffs as compiled by the fine people at Frankly, I think Carmelo Anthony gets shortchanged for the throwdown on Jeff Pendergraph here, and maybe Iman Shumpert too for his insane putback dunk. But it’s really hard to argue with Tayshaun Prince throwing down on pretty much half the Thunder for No. 1.

I’ll take Shump’s putback dunk over Tayshuan’s throwdown any day of the week.

      I disagree.

Shumpert had a clear path to the ball for the dunk. In general, to me, a dunk isn’t impressive when it’s completely uncontested, and a put-back dunk in particular isn’t very impressive when nobody bothers trying to box out the player. By contrast, Prince drove to the basket actually dunked over 2-3 guys who were trying to play defense.

Don’t get me wrong – both are good dunks. However, to me, no question, posterizing 3 guys beats an uncontested dunk any day of the week.

I’m not arguing which one is more difficult…Tayshaun has that without question. When simply watching both plays and evaluating them from an entertainment standpoint- I like Shump.

I was more entertained by Tayshaun’s posterization of three active defenders than Shumpert’s full extension reach-back after a no-blockout, but both were quite entertaining. I thought Bogut could’ve had another one in there too.
