Amir Johnson does not have a second career in baseball waiting

Is this worse than John Wall’s epic first pitch? (To be fair, he got better the next time.)

I think not this so because as bad as Amir Johnson‘s first pitch was — and you can see in the video above, it was terrible — he redeems himself by asking for a do-over, then launching the second pitch into the second deck.

Still, there will be no late-season call up Johnson. Baseball is not his sport.

    I’ve seen worse–look up Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory’s “effort” some time. It’s similar to his time as a political family hack playing at being mayor–lots of flash, dreadful outcome.

    At least Amir can do something useful off the baseball field, and I commend his sense of humor about the poor results.
