Dwyane Wade’s post-game jacket was…. something else

May 9, 2013, 8:00 AM EDT

I’m hesitant to criticize other people’s fashion because, well, I’m a guy. I don’t know what looks good on me. If I see a jacket I like I just turn to my wife and say “Do I want this?” She has first and last say.

But I know what Mrs. PBT would say if I showed her the jacket Dwyane Wade wore to his post-game press conference.

I guess if you’re a young multi-millionaire who is dating Gabrielle Union, and your team just won by 37 points, you can get away with clothing choices I cannot. Or really, nobody else can. Or should.

For once I agree with Charles Barkley on something. On Inside the NBA after the game Barkley said:

“Come on, America, y’all can’t like this jacket!”

Looks good on you though.

Just trying to get attention as if the media doesn’t already love on him and lebron too much. My question is how will lebron respond to some of his spot light been stolen? Queen James can’t be happy

    • fanofevilempire - May 9, 2013 at 10:01 AM

I hope they only made one of those jackets.

Melo has the wicked stingie brim hat going on………..

      stylin and profiling………………..

      • manchestermiracle - May 9, 2013 at 2:10 PM

It sort of reminds me of a jacket I had in my youth. Dad wasn’t making the child-support payments and I needed something for winter. Mom had a Singer sewing machine and knew how to use it. Three or four of my old, worn-out jackets became one usable (but highly ugly, in my opinion) coat. I took a lot of crap at school for that thing, but I was warm.

  2. mrbhenderson - May 9, 2013 at 8:15 AM

i thought the jacket was cool. i do think there are somethings you can get away with in Miami that would look strange in Utah.

    • money2long - May 9, 2013 at 9:27 AM

maybe wade lost a game 1 bet

      • fanofevilempire - May 9, 2013 at 10:48 AM

Hey Kurt, who dressed you this morning?

      • Kurt Helin - May 11, 2013 at 12:41 PM

All my nice clothes (outside t-shirts and shorts) are pretty much approved by my wife. Which is really best for all of us.

      • mrbhenderson - May 9, 2013 at 10:54 AM

i’m sure people looked a Willis Reed funny when he wore some of his stuff. Some folks can take bigger risk and aren’t shaped by what some think.

    • fanofevilempire - May 9, 2013 at 6:00 PM

the crazy lady who flipped Noah the bird stole Wades matching Blouse to the jacket.
      people in Boca are scandalous.

  3. mojo2028 - May 9, 2013 at 8:36 AM

That jacket is straight fugly. Just cuz you have money doesn’t mean you have good taste.

    • money2long - May 9, 2013 at 9:20 AM

i think it goes with lebron’s new sneakers though ! haha

  4. canehouse - May 9, 2013 at 8:40 AM

Wade’s confidence had to be high… You don’t rock that without knowing you’re going to win that night. can’t imagine him wearing that had the bulls won.

    • money2long - May 9, 2013 at 9:21 AM

or, you don’t rock that without knowing you’re going home to gabrielle union !

      • fanofevilempire - May 9, 2013 at 10:49 AM

she shouldn’t let him in the house with that jacket!

  5. eboneseagles - May 9, 2013 at 9:17 AM

What a clown, Lebron took the spotlight off him so he’s trying to stand out.

    • money2long - May 9, 2013 at 9:31 AM

wade’s always been about stand-out fashion . i found an excerpt from an interview for you guys

WADE: “Three years ago I was like, ‘Man, I kind of want to paint my toenails black.’ At first I thought, ‘Nah, I can’t do that. They’re going to kill me.’ But eventually I decided to try it. Later I was on vacation in the Bahamas with LeBron, and when he saw my toes he was like, ‘Something is seriously wrong with you.’ But eventually Bron was like, ‘You know what? You’re crazy, but that’s just you.’ When I first got into the league, I tried to fit in. Now I don’t care.”

    • money2long - May 9, 2013 at 9:22 AM

no flowers were harmed in the making of wade’s jacket

      • manchestermiracle - May 9, 2013 at 2:05 PM

Nah, just a ton of eyes bleeding….

  7. jhuck92 - May 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM

  8. jhuck92 - May 9, 2013 at 10:11 AM

Arrison must be bouncing some checks forcing Wade to shop where 72wasalongtimeago shops. Rough couple of months for Carnival.

    • 1972wasalongtimeago - May 9, 2013 at 1:33 PM

Yeah, Dwyane and I are known for dressing the same.

I actually thought Dwyane left the presser and immediately ran to Pharoh to warn him of 7 years of bounty followed by 7 uears of famine.

(no offense, CB13, but I can almost guarantee you that you don’t get that reference, or at least you didn’t before you googled it)

      • cantonbound13 - May 9, 2013 at 2:02 PM

You can turn to religion all you want, nothing is saving your Heat this year.

  15. runwright44 - May 9, 2013 at 11:43 AM

My mom just called me and really wants her living room curtains back.
    Thanking you in advance.

  16. sdelmonte - May 9, 2013 at 11:52 AM

Doctor Who wants his jacket back.

  17. imforbigblue - May 9, 2013 at 1:21 PM

He’s black they like ugly bright colored things that 90% of the rest of the world wouldn’t wear

    • fanofevilempire - May 9, 2013 at 1:51 PM

I heard black people like commas and periods too.

    • kb2408 - May 9, 2013 at 2:12 PM

So, now PBT is letting racists post comments, huh?! Dude, have you ever been on a golf course and seen some of the wild, brightly colored outfits they wear? If I recall correctly, most of them are not black. Clown.

  18. slickdemetrius - May 9, 2013 at 1:53 PM

Everybody was wearing jackets like that in the early 90’s, except with more neon. Everybody I tell you. Even Janet Reno…

  19. manchestermiracle - May 9, 2013 at 2:07 PM

The Don Cherry of the NBA. I’m disappointed no one’s put that up here yet.

    • kb2408 - May 9, 2013 at 2:15 PM

Damn, good point! And what about Craig Sager?

  20. frn27 - May 9, 2013 at 3:24 PM
