Thunder’s Derek Fisher and Kevin Martin perfectly execute a double flop (VIDEO)

May 2, 2013, 12:29 PM EDT

Young players, take note. This is simply a great defensive effort here by Derek Fisher and Kevin Martin to coordinate perfectly-timed simultaneous flops just as “whatever his name is” makes a little contact with each.

If the league is finding itself cash-strapped these days, this seems like an easy way to pick up a quick ten grand.

It’s like watching those synchronized divers in the Olympics. Poetry in motion.

does anyone remember the pokemon magicarp, whose attack move was ‘splash’ in which he just flopped around? yea, magicarp was a FISH as well.

        LOL. worst pokemon/move ever.

I love DFish, but I can’t help but laugh at that haha.

    That was awesome haha.

    That’s a 10 for perfect synchronization.

That is awesome!!! But for the harm it causes for actually rewarding bad and illegal behavior, it is hysterical how perfectly it is done by both. It is clear this is something they practice regularly. I saw game Realtime and did not even notice the bad flop in the game flow. But isolated like this and slowed down it is just awful.

Best thing is look on Asik’s face. He is in utter amazement at the call. Looked like superman ran into the lane and ran over those two thunder players. Ha! Just watch it again and pay attention to Asik’s face. Priceless!

    • xLith - May 2, 2013 at 4:47 PM

When I saw it live I just face palmed and laughed. You could tell it was a flop. Asik bumped them and barely even moved at all. He’s a big guy but it’ll take more force than that to knock down Derek Fisher at least. Remember the guy clotheslined a full speed Luis Scola without moving an inch….

Kevin Martin is another story. You can sneeze by him and he’d fall over. Hell he probably just flopped somewhere when we were talking about this play.

Somewhere in San Antonio, Manu is smiling.

    • kavika6 - May 3, 2013 at 3:32 AM

Getting tired of this. Manu never even received a warning this year. If a flopper can fool Spur-hater Stern all season he deserves an oscar.

Ginobili flops a ton. Did so against the Lakers, get over it. Just because he isn’t fined doesn’t mean that he doesn’t do it.

    • kavika6 - May 4, 2013 at 3:19 AM

Manu is smiling because now that Golden State is their next opponent he smells another sweep.

  7. xLith - May 2, 2013 at 4:43 PM

So happy this made it here. I was laughing my *** off last night watching this duo of actresses in perfect form.

  8. zickhead - May 2, 2013 at 5:30 PM

Wasn’t there an article just before the playoffs started that said whoever flops will get fined for the 1st offense? I wonder if that rule will apply to Fisher and Martin.

The NBA cash strapped? Right. Stop drinking the owners kool aid. The NBA is a 3 billion dollar a year business.
