More Lakers injury fun: World Peace has knee drained, will play Game 3

Apr 26, 2013, 1:30 PM EDT

Lakers trainer Gary Vitti is going to need more than a room off the side of the locker room, he needs his own wing.

To add to the injuries expected to keep the top four Lakers out of a crucial Game 3 Friday night, Metta World Peace had his knee drained on Thursday. Teams try to keep this stuff secret (as if it provides some big advantage) but World Peace tweeted out the news himself complete with a photo. Because he’s World Peace.

A Baker’s cyst is a fluid filled cyst on the back of the knee that puts pressure on the joint, restricts motion and causes pain.

World Peace should move a lot more freely because — look at that photo, that is a whole lot of fluid.

The Lakers are going to need a lot of World Peace, plus a big game from Darius Morris on Tony Parker, to beat a Spurs team finding it’s groove while the Lakers are in the training room.

The Lakers are expected to be without Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Jodie Meeks and of course Kobe Bryant for Game 3. The Spurs lead 2-0. That pretty much sums up the Lakers situation.

This team is so gone when the summer begins! talk about a major blow up. I see 4 of the starting 5 leaving or being traded or Amested. Even Dwight, hell he wanted out of Orlando to win rings that’s not working out too well… Steve Nash might as well toss in the Towel, he will never be the same player he once was. the 2nd unit? they are out of here. Gasol? gone next year Metta, and Blake same thing. in light of this Dwight probably will not sign unless he is just there for the lights and bright shinny objects of LA and from seeing his true nature exposed after leaving Orlando, that might be the only hope for him to stay La fans!
