JaVale McGee dunks all over Andrew Bogut (VIDEO)

Apr 20, 2013, 7:40 PM EST

JaVale McGee is the most athletic big man in the game today, and when he makes the right play nobody can stop him. Ask Andrew Bogut, who got fiercely dunked on in the first half Saturday of Game 1 between the Nuggets and Warriors.

The best part of this if you’re a Nuggets fan (or George Karl) is that McGee recognizes the space and makes a smart cut. The kind of thing he doesn’t do often enough. The dunk is amazing, but it’s set up by McGee making a smart basketball play, and the more he does that the more dangerous the Nuggets become.

Also, McGee had this sweet first-half alley-oop finish.

McGee turns it up in the playoffs. Took over two games last year against the Lakers and was big tonight.
    Plays better angry it seems.

Yea, he was ferocious against LA last year. I was looking forward to seeing him turn it up for the playoffs again, and so far I’m not disappointed. You could see that look on his face tonight. Seems like the the bigger stage increases his focus. I expect him to be a factor. It’s pretty interesting that GK has tried some lineups with both JaVale and Koufos since Faried is out– pretty drastic departure from George’s beloved smallball.

Dunk of the playoffs until further notice.

One could argue that DeAndre Jordan is just as athletic, if not more, than Javale McGee.

It’s close. I’d lean JaVale but it’s close.

McGee got owned by Robin Lopez one game.

The next? He was extremely effective against Tim Duncan.

    The enigma.

He didn’t take his Adderall in the first game.

      • broncobeta - Apr 21, 2013 at 12:22 PM

        Adderall?

        Who is he, Richard Sherman?

But for real, if he takes it. There is no doubt he has a prescription for it. Anyone can see that he needs it.

You steal entries from this site THEN have the nerve to tell people about it in the comments section? As if it’s something to be proud of?

You suck. Surely, your blog sucks too. Go away.

I think it happens automatically when he reposts it. Cut him some slack.
