J.J. Redick latest to receive warning for flopping (VIDEO)

Apr 4, 2013, 7:48 PM EDT

J.J. Redick became the latest player to receive a warning for violating the NBA’s anti-flopping rule, the league announced on Thursday.

Redick’s blatant attempt at fooling the officials occurred during the Bucks’ 109-99 loss to the Thunder on March 30.

What makes this one so bad is that it worked to perfection. The referee didn’t choose to blow the whistle until after Redick exaggerated the contact he made with Derek Fisher, which was minimal, at best.

Can we track these warnings by college affiliation? Duke has to get these guys better prepared to be fined.

He should get suspended for such a horrible flop.

Whose recent flop was worse – Redick’s or Gallinari’s? (We think Danilo’s was worse, because he plays for an actual NBA team, while Redick plays for the Bucks. Get mad, Milwaukee.)

They should make a new rule against offensive foul simulation called the “CoachK Rule”.

How does this garner a warning and yet Bosh does this against Chicago almost a week ago and nothing?

They warn guys for exaggerating contact, yet other get away with flopping when there isn’t even any contact at all! And Bosh has a history of flopping against the Bulls, like his other epic flop in 2011. The league should be embarrassed by this, it isn’t even remotely a basketball play!

I’m not a Chicago fan or Heat hater, but this is ridiculous. Bosh seems like a nice guy, but this is disgraceful and it needs to stop. You have Lebron James on your team and you still feel a need to push off a guy and collapse onto the floor like you’ve been hit by a truck? No respect for Bosh from me.

What is God’s name are you blathering about?!? Please try not to comment under the influence.

And here is another epic flop from Bosh this year via the Huffington Post. Instead of trying to make the shot, he just flops for a call — and gets it! To my knowledge he has never been warned by the league and no other media outlet chose to report this embarrassing display:

Every soccer team in Europe just called his agent to find out if he wants to come in for a tryout.

I see J.J. has been taking lessons from ‘Vlade Divac’ school of floppin’

Dook players flop more than anyone.
