Magic, Bird, Kareem, Russell appear in new AT&T spots (VIDEO)

Mar 30, 2013, 10:09 PM EDT

Apparently, that guy in the AT&T commercials is tired of speaking with children in order to highlight the company’s service offerings.

The wireless provider went out and got Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Bill Russell to appear in its most recent iteration of television spots, with the one in the video clip above featuring an emotionally sensitive Bird being reacting to Magic poking fun at his lack of speed on the court during his playing days.

Great, great times.

If this one was to your liking, there’s one more on the company’s YouTube page that you can check out here.

Seriously? We get crap fluff articles like these, but you can’t report on the games that happened last night? Where’s the article about the Nuggets bouncing back and destroying the Nets?

    • cosanostra71 - Mar 30, 2013 at 10:35 PM

I find this more entertaining than anything about the Nuggets.

If you don’t like the content here you could always read ESPN and their high quality journalism.

        well said, why even comment.
those commercials are bad ass, the kids are awesome.
the one above had me laughing, if you can’t get a good
laugh out of these commercials you are a scrooge!

I hate the four letter network as much as the next guy, but it’s hardly journalism over here.

Also, my point isn’t the just the nuggets game, it’s all of the games they fail to mention.

Seriously? You come here for Denver Nuggets news? I’ve said it once, I’ll keep saying it. This is a general NBA blog that highlights stories and events of interest. You want focused posts? Try a Nuggets blog. I’ll even throw you a bone… – it’s the best Nuggets blog.

      • broncobeta - Mar 31, 2013 at 12:56 PM

The point is we get “NEWS BREAK: KOBE JUST FARTED!” but he doesn’t actually cover games that happened.

The selectivity is more disheartening then the typos on this website.

      • broncobeta - Mar 31, 2013 at 12:59 PM

Also. is way better the roundball.

Again, the name of this blog is “ProBasketballTalk” not Pro Basketball Recaps for every team in the NBA. ESPN, Yahoo, and NBC Sports provides recaps, usually from AP reporters. NBC Sports? Yep, try clicking that “NBA” link at the top of the page. I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Go elsewhere for important info. Just caught this ad and loved it. Even knew who all the old greats were.

Just add Michael Jordan and you’ve got the greatest team of all time, easily.

  5. titansbro - Mar 31, 2013 at 12:10 PM

I like how they tell us about this commercial as if they’re breaking some sort of big news when I’ve already seen it like 5 times. The ones with the kids are way funnier anyway.
