PBT Extra: Talking coaches who could be gone next season

With the end of the season will come a number of coaches getting fired — Scott Skiles is already out in Milwaukee and Jim Boylan will not stick around, Keith Smart will be gone as the ownership changes one way or another with the Kings, and expect changes in Phoenix.

But what about the bigger name guys on the bubble? The amazing Kay Adams and I talk some Vinny Del Negro, some Ty Corbin and even some Rick Adelman.

Then we talk about some potential replacements should teams make moves. And stop asking about Phil Jackson, would you? Not. Going. To. Happen.

Add Mike D’Antioni to the list. Finishing 8th or worse in the West is not good enough by Laker standards.
Please not crying, whining and excuses by any Laker fans. Someone has to be held accountable for this season of failure so either it is D’antioni or Mitch Kupchak or both.
I have been a Laker fan since 1980 and this is not good enough. Heads will roll.

Why should D’Antoni be the fall guy? He didn’t even start the season with the team. How about the guys responsible for this mess–Short Buss and Mitch “I’m Only Responsible When We Win” Kupchak?

Milwaukee Buck coach Boylan is clueless and way over his head. He has absolutely not had a positive influence or impact on his team. What a wasted opportunity. Everything about this team is arbitrary, rotation, strategy, structure. A playoff disaster waiting to happen. How the Milwaukee media remain silent on this issue is paramount to negligence.

The wrong LA team hired Dantoni. Him on the Clips = match made in heaven.

Doug Collins. Not saying he should be fired, but he needs to quit and take a college gig where his style might actually work. The Sixers are a MESS that No Coach can fix.
