Marshall Henderson’s favorite NBA players? J.R. Smith and JaVale McGee, because of course

Mar 23, 2013, 8:00 PM EDT

Marshall Henderson – the flashy, showboating, rabble-rousing guard who just led No. 12 seed Mississippi to an upset of No. 5 seed Wisconsin – listed J.R. Smith and JaVale McGee as his favorite NBA players in the above video.

“I love those kind of players,” Henderson said. “They can put a crowd in the arena, sell some tickets, make that money, get the money for those people. That’s what it’s about.”

That’s what it’s about, indeed.

This kids on court antics and his assertion that JaVale McGee and JR Smith draw crowds and sell tickets proves his lack of smarts.

“Get the money for those people”?

What the hell does that mean?

get the money for those people? What people? I’ve been trying to get into march madness and let me say I’m not real excited about this upcoming draft. Nothing much to speak of happening in the NCAA right now.

It shouldn’t be surprising that he acts the way he does on the court. This guy won’t even make the D-League, so this is the last chance he’ll ever have to be “The Man” (if there even is such a thing for a sub-40% shooter) and he’s soaking it up for all its worth. Of course if he goes 4-30 and they win, God help us…

Now THIS is the kind of high IQ, quality player that most GMs love.
