Monta Ellis goes off for 25 in fourth quarter to earn Bucks win (VIDEO)

Mar 18, 2013, 11:28 AM EDT

Monta Ellis is a gunner — he gets you a lot of points but takes a whole lot of shots to do it. But when he gets on a run when those shots are falling, watch out.

Ellis scored 25 fourth quarter points —  19 in the final six minutes — to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a come-from-behind victory over the Magic on Sunday. It was a stunning performance where the Bucks put up 45 fourth-quarter points. It included him going 5-of-5 from three (where he is shooting 25.8 percent on the season), the last one of those being the dagger with 13 seconds left that put the Bucks up 113-109.

Enjoy the video. Then you can think about what it says about the Bucks that they needed a fourth-quarter comeback against the Magic. But for now, be awed by Ellis.

monta is having a good season, and these performances show he isn’t so “delusional” for comparing his game to wade’s

      You must be mad sir…

Wade’s career per is 25.6 (24.9 this season), he is a good defensive player and has a finals MVP award to go along with his two rings.

Monta Ellis’ career per is 16.8 (16.4 this season), he plays no defense and apparently he can’t ride a moped either :-)

What’s with all the back-handed compliments for Monta?

For most of his time with Golden State, he shot a very good % while scoring a ton of points. And he’s been on fire for the last month or so.

People talk about him like he’s been shooting below 40% his whole career. He’s shooting a career-low this year and it’s 42.1%… not good but not atrocious.

He’s also one of the best passing SGs in the league. Those who know Monta’s game know that he’s been one of the more underrated players in the league for much of his career and has been flat-out snubbed from being an All-Star multiple times. How about some props for one of the best SGs in the league?
