So then no sense in bothering to call the cops when your stuff is stolen because, hey, stuff gets stolen so you should be used to it. Calling the refs out when they screw up is a good way to get them to actually make calls. Then maybe a team’s star player wouldn’t have gotten hurt, but since it isn’t your team I guess you don’t need to care.

Too bad the dimwitted refs didn’t see the obvious foul when it happened but the refs don’t give Kobe much of a break on foul calls, not like they do giving Dirty Wade and Queen James foul calls when someone breathes hard on them. Too bad Dahntay Jones didn’t get a flagrant called on him, stepping under shooters like that is dirty play and should draw flagrant fouls or suspensions.

Don’t sell Kobe short Kurt Helin, he could very well be playing tonight the way he rehabs his injuries. I’m just glad the MRI came back negative on any serious damage. Nice to hear that Pau Gasol is getting close to returning, he has been sorely missed.

Don’t count on it. The NBA making an after-the-fact ruling that has no effect isn’t the same as actually telling their half-blind referees to get with the program. Look at all the moving screens that are never called, to say nothing of traveling and carrying the ball.

What a bunch of b.s. so now their going to dissect every play to determine if they should have called a foul or not. The FACT is he got a clean shot off and missed it, ever since this league was formed there’s always been complaints about letting the players determine the out come not the refs. The no call was right!!!

You obviously didn’t watch the video watch it again. Kobe shot with the defender no where near him. Watch where Delhanty ends up. He is well passed where Kobe started. There was no kick. Delhanty ran into him.

For one, no contact was made, the defender was five feet away when the shot was out of his hand. Two, it has to be intentional.

Actually Dhantay was about five feet away from him when he shot. Then moved in after the fact. I wouldn’t call that guarding him.

Had Kobe not kicked his foot out to try and draw a foul, he would have landed cleaner and likely not have gotten hurt. Tired of shooters flailing their body around or acting like they got pummeled on a shot in order to get a foul call. The reds need to let them play.

It could’ve gone either way. Dahntay Jones did foul Kobe – he stuck his foot too far under Kobe which is clearly against the rules. Obviously no one but Jones knows if it was intentional or not, but there’s a reason why it’s illegal to defend like that – it causes injuries for no reason.

That being said, Kobe also kicked his right foot (the one he didn’t injure) into Jones in order to draw the foul, which as has been mentioned on this board already, is something the league was supposed to be cracking down on. Also, Jones’ foot had no bearing on whether the shot was going through or not.

Kobe had a decent look to tie the game and missed it. Then he had the misfortune of coming down on the defender’s goot. Just bad luck. Considering how few times Kobe has been injured in his career, 2 weeks isn’t the worst. Look at DH – he practically missed almost 2 seasons of being in top form b/c of his back. Or Derrick Rose.

I thought it was an offensive foul for a shooter to kick his leg out in order to make contact with a defender. Wasn’t it a “point of emphasis” two years ago?
