Knight made the right play and deserves applause. If Jordan missed the dunk, he would have been at the free throw line where he stinks. Mediocre dunk which looked larger then life due to the limited height and hops of Knight.

Not just Woj said that but tons of people saying it. One of my most hated things about NBA basketball, which was also echoed on PTI today, is that nobody says a damn thing about scrubs that just duck out of the way, but guys trying to disrupt these huge dunks are blasted when the dunk goes down. You’ll even hear announcers say things like, “smart move getting out of the way of that one.”

Come on fans! I want to the media to make it where both DeAndre AND BK are lauded for that play, and yes, even Mozgov. Unfortunately that will never happen, especially with headlines like on PBT. “…destroys” That kid got absolutely BLASTED for trying to play defense against a guy 8 inches taller than him and make a play. BK plays on an abysmal team, yet still attempts something like that knowing full well what the result might be. Let’s get past mocking guys for trying to block shots and start ridiculing the guys that duck out of the way. Next time someone ducks out of the way from a monster slam, why not say he got destroyed, and when someone pulls a BK or Mozgov, let’s just say they got dunked on… I know, it’s a pipedream.
