Brandon Knight’s week gets worse, leaves game against Jazz with ankle sprain

Brandon Knight seems like a nice enough guy, but perhaps that wasn’t the case in a previous life.

It’s been a rough season for Knight, with Sunday night’s obliteration at the hands of DeAndre Jordan leading the list of events that haven’t exactly gone his way.

Players will always take embarrassment over injury, however, so this note from Utah Jazz PR Director Jon Rinehart from tonight’s game means things can’t get much worse for Knight this week.

Knight, as you may recall, was on the wrong end of that subtle punch from Metta World Peace a little over a month ago, and was the victim of Kyrie Irving‘s ire late in the Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star weekend in Houston.

Here’s hoping the injury is nothing too serious; Knight’s already had way more than his fair share of issues this season.

One of my friends thinks it was brave of Knight to try to block Jordan’s dunk? I thought it was idiotic. What do you guys think?

Idiotic is being nice. That needed a new word. It was pure “Foolishry”

Knight should retire now and just settle for being the answer to a trivia question. SMH

Yeah! To hell with defense! Just let people dunk at will. Basketball will be way more fun if people are just allowed to score all the time!

It is called playing defense. You have to contest the shot. He couldn’t take the charge he was in the restricted area for a charge.

As a player, i’m not sure if he will be a real building block for my Pistons, but the kid has one hell of a work ethic and he plays his heart out every game. If his teammates had half his heart, we would be a playoff team.
