Kendall Marshall with the one-handed bounce pass through the legs of Omer Asik (VIDEO)

Mar 10, 2013, 9:30 AM EDT

When you first see Suns rookie point guard Kendall Marshall find a cutting Jared Dudley with a one-handed bounce pass through the lane, sure, it looks like a nice play.

But when you see the replay, where the ball clearly is thrown through the legs of Omer Asik on the way to finding its target, it then becomes spectacular.

Marshall finished with nine points and four assists as the Suns held on to beat the Rockets 107-105.

Sweet pass. Omer Asik was moving slow as a dinosaur. I don’t think he still knows what happened.

The kid still isnt NBA material. Cant shoot, cant drive, cant even shine in the D League. One and done. Hope he has another career in mind.

Marshall can shoot fairly well, the people who say he isn’t a good shooter haven’t watched him in Phoenix and are only going by what the scouts said about him before the draft. Marshall is 11-for-33 from three this year, and he hasn’t hesitated to take (and make) that outside shot. It’s true, he can’t drive, he isn’t a good defender and he has a lot to work on. But Marshall is starting to receive minutes and he isn’t letting coach Hunter down.

Suns need to play him more, if only to find out if he can play or not

I think it was a waisted draft pick at the spot he was drafted.
