Amare’s knees were the reason the Suns did not match New York’s offer when he went to New York! I loved Amare when he played for the Suns, unfortunately his knees are an issue that has limited his play and this time it may be the end of his career unfortunately!

i think they probably said ny wouldn’t beat them when they met in the reg season too. and the knicks beat them twice. the knicks are capable of running with miami. i think ur just caught in the allure of the heat. they are very beatable. and ny is one team that is capable of carrying that out even in the post season. sorry to burst your bubble.

Martin will be a nice addition. They were moving the ball and playing better team ball without Stat anyway. Martin, despite his poor approach to conflict resolution in locker room and otherwise, doesn’t demand the ball as much. Hopefully they get boards and put backs as needed, and can keep his mmm mmmm mmoouth shut.

Amare started the rebuilding process because NO big name free agents would go to New York UNTIL he signed there. I know he’s still owed alot but he had other comparable offers from others and chose to go to NY.

#1: I’m pretty sure the Knicks would kill for just one year of legitimately competing for a title, let alone two.

#2: Keep dreaming that Miami gets broken up in a year and a half, that junk is nothing but media speculation. All of Miami’s big 3 will opt out because it makes business sense, and I wouldn’t bet against all 3 re-signing one more long-term deal. And even if the Heat do get broken up in a couple of years, the Knicks will be right behind them. The only difference? Miami’s teams will actually have gotten something done.

@1972- I saw that article too, the confusing aspect was that they counted THIS year- which is almost over- among the years remaining on the contracts mentioned. In any case, it’s hysterical that the Knicks have not one but two players on their roster making more than either LeBron, Wade, and Bosh.
