And I almost had a date with Halle Berry. The Hawks will forever be a team that’s just good enough to make the playoffs but never good enough to win the title. Philly is starting to look like that as well.

I wouldn’t mind the Sixers targeting Smith in free agency. Pairing him with Bynum hopefully won’t happen, because Bynum shouldn’t come back here at all, unless it’s for a really low cap number to offset the money they would have to give Smith.

That would’ve been a good deal for both teams…and a steal for the Sixers. ATL woulda at least got something instead of nothing when he leaves.

My guess is Philly ending up not pulling the trigger because although Josh Smith is a fantastic player, do you really think Smoove AND Bynum is a championship tandom since both will be asking max money and the new CBA makes it hard for you to build anything after 2 max’s.

It just seems to me that Josh Smith and Thad Young have redundant skill sets. I don’t see much good in having both of them on the same team.

You mean the Bucks who are eight(?) games ahead of the Sixers in the standings? But you’re right, they are very Jekyll and Hyde. I guess a slam is better than not being mentioned.

I think this is a strong off-season possibility.
The Sixers want to go BIG to fight off the small teams in the east.
If Bynum comes back halfway decent, it would be a sick 4-5 combo, not to mention Holliday emerging as a star.

Thank god we kept the consistent Turner and the tough as nails Hawes. I would have missed ET’s goofy jump shot and bad attitude. I’m so glad we passed on the 2 best players in the draft that year in Cousins and Favors. We needed a tweener G/F with no jump shot over some front court players who were clearly too young for my Sixers who were in a win now mode. Hawes is the best jump shooting 7 footer on the sixers. Thank god for that. I wouldn’t want him down low rebounding and going strong to the hoop.

Dear God,
Please let the light go on with ownership and fire everyone associated with the decision making progress for the Sixers. In fact fire everyone associated with the Sixers in general. Oh and start with Doug C. I love Doug C but he doesn’t have a clue when evaluating talent either. Go back to TV you are one of the best at that.

In theory couldn’t the sixers sign josh smith this summer, keep hawes and turner for depth and then go over cap to re-sign their own free agent Bynum?
