Shaq gets his revenge on one-time pop star Aaron Carter (VIDEO)

Mar 6, 2013, 5:51 PM EDT

You probably don’t remember Aaron Carter, who was the Justin Bieber of a former generation, a pop-star pre-teen heart-throb. I had to Google him, to be honest.

But I kind of did remember his 2001 single “How I Beat Shaq” about how the skinny white kid beat Shaquille O’Neal in a game of one-on-one (that video is below, if you’re feeling masochistic). Today Tru.TV posted this video of Shaq’s revenge. I think Shaq’s revenge is we still know who he is, but whatever works for the big guy. It is his birthday.

Hat tip to The Big Lead for finding the video.

Oh come on Kurt. That’s How I Beat Shaq is a classic. Right up there with Aaron’s Party and Mmbop in timeless tunes.

Shaq on Inside the NBA, worst thing ever. This video however, awesome. I’m conflicted. I want to hate Shaq for ruining the best pregame show in the NBA, but this is so funny..

Last year I said the same thing. But this year he’s found his niche. Shaqtin’ a Fool is sometimes the funniest part of the show and otherwise he mostly keeps quiet. I do get sick of hearing his ridiculous banter on big men and what stats they should be averaging.

Yeah good call man. I need to quit hating so much, and remember how much I loved him when he posed as a statue in Boston and let ppl take pictures, that was so cool.

“I had to Google him, to be honest”

Are you talking about just today, Kurt?

With a daughter about to enter her pre-teen phase, I’m becoming all too familiar with the current crop of boy pop sensations. But i don’t know the ones from back when I was in a mosh pit somewhere.
