Bullets, feces found when former NBAer Robert Swift vacates home

If you read PBT’s And-1 links then you already know former NBA player Robert Swift was being forclosed on and getting kicked out of his Seattle area home (which the bank sold to another family). Except Swift was squatting there, refusing to leave.

Well, he’s out. But the interesting/disturbing part is what he left behind when he finally moved out over the weekend.

The people at komonews.com have the story (and video if you go to their site).

“The first thing you get when you walk in the door is kind of whiff of whatever is festering in here,” said Jessica Ko-Dalzell. She and her husband Eric now own a mansion on a hill Sammamish….

Animal feces clogs the deck. Walls are punched out on different levels of the house. One even has an autograph. Pizza boxes and beer bottles are piled on the kitchen granite. Multiple guns were found in the home. Some appear to be air guns, but live ammo was also found. Dalzell said they also found a handgun. A makeshift shooting range is in the basement storage area. Eric Dalzell said load-bearing beams have graze marks from bullets, and part of the home’s foundation appeared to stop some of the slugs.

So, apparently he stopped paying for the housecleaning services.

If you are in the future buying a home from a former NBA player, the lesson here is caveat emptor.

    What’s the lesson?

    • fanofevilempire - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:15 AM

don’t buy a mansion with feces clogging the back deck, we
      don’t feel sorry for you.

Damn, after watching the news clip one can only assume the worst, i.e., who lives like that…a junkie.

And to think I was close to asking Ainge, via a call-in radio segment, if the Celtics has considered signing Swift (still thought he was playing overseas)

Regardless, the ‘Myth of Robert Swift’ continues…

    @ningenito78

In layman’s terms, “Buy at your own risk” regardless who the previous owner was!

Another brilliant pick by the morons who ran the Sonics.

    • fanofevilempire - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:14 AM

      they picked Durant

      • cosanostra71 - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:19 AM

No, Sam Presti picked Kevin Durant. Swift was a product of Rick Sund and Wally Walker, who brilliantly drafted three centers in the lottery in a row, and had none of them pan out.

      • cosanostra71 - Mar 5, 2013 at 12:22 PM

Sund picked Swift over Josh Smith, Al Jefferson, Jameer Nelson, JR Smith, Tony Allen, Kevin Martin, Anderson Varejao, Trevor Ariza… even Duhon would have been a better pick.

Sund then picked Johan Petro ahead of David Lee, Brandon Bass, CJ Miles, Monta Ellis, Lou Williams, Marcin Gortat, Andray Blatche, Linus Kleiza. Amir Johnson or Jason Maxiell could be argued as better picks.

My personal favorite is Mohammed Saer Sene at #10 overall, ahead of JJ Redick, Thabo Sefalosha, Ronnie Brewer, Rajon Rondo, Kyle Lowry, Shannon Brown, Jordan Farmar, Paul Millsap, Leon Powe and Ryan Hollins.

      • 32stork - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:51 PM

Yep, a great pick, but guess what: it was a totally different management group. No one was left over from the losers who drafted Swift.

    Surprised?

    • fanofevilempire - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:22 AM

house with his homies. bad ass.

      • 32stork - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:53 PM

Swift is so stupid he couldn’t even spell gangsta!

WTF??? Dude thought he was still livin’ in Trailer Park!

  7. cleanfoodie - Mar 5, 2013 at 11:45 AM

Depending on just how many rounds he fired in his makeshift shooting range in the basement, the new homeowners may have a lead contamination problem. Especially since his “range” was lacking both a proper backstop and proper ventilation.

I sell foreclosed homes exclusively. You would all be shocked how common this is.

    • Mr. Wright 212 - Mar 5, 2013 at 12:44 PM

Yeah, I have been in real estate since 2000 and did foreclosure work for one of the few banks that did not take TARP money. It’s extremely common, although not surprising to you and me.

  9. pl4tinum514 - Mar 5, 2013 at 12:32 PM

what, former NBAers pooping on the ground in the house?

  10. Mr. Wright 212 - Mar 5, 2013 at 12:43 PM

This is what he was doing instead of working on his game? Figures.
