That’s actually an accurate description of his game most of the time. Ron undeniably plays hard every night and most of the time its good, physical ball. But every now and then “Bad Ron” comes out and he does something bush-league and dangerous. It’s happened way too many times to be coincidence.

A lot of coaches are fine with it as long as it’s their guy. I remember George Karl sending Brickowski in to rattle Rodman, which backfired with Brickowski coming out looking the dirtier for it, which in that case, he was.

Double negative. It means they were trying to hurt somebody or anybody.

I don’t mind hard play, tough play, etc. However, it’s clear that MWP goes way beyond that. I wouldn’t mind seeing some players who don’t mind a suspension dishing out a little payback to him. Nothing major, just a knee to the package, a few elbows to the nose and temple…

I’d rather see guys play like him then most of what I see in the league. Most guys look like they could care less what happens unless the game just happens to be close in the last two minutes or their team happens to be in the playoff race with 15 games to go.

I don’t know if you watch many laker games but I can’t even think of any examples where Metta is trying to do this. Metta never starts anything, he plays with a lot of passion and he has an extreme defense mechanism when he feels attacked, but I don’t think he could care less about getting under people’s skin. Almost all of the time it’s actually the opponent who’s trying to agitate Metta.

Metta World Peace lays rough and tough and if some players don’t like it they can quit or go play in the WNBA. If you want to see a dirty player then look no further than Dirty Wade.
