Let me preach at you then. Basketball fans like it when millionaire athletes choose not to put ATMs in their house and instead do something that helps people, people not so fortunate to play a game for a ridiculous amount of money. How dare us basketball fans enjoy reading about something uplifting like this! We should be ashamed! And yes, children learning to read is more important than basketball.

I completely understand what you're saying, Amare's PER should be the focus on this blog, not his good deeds and the betterment of America's youth. Did I lay the sarcasm on thick enough for you?

Well, actually, no, it's not more important than basketball stuff. He's a basketball player and it's a basketball blog. I don't catch alot of Knicks games. Could you break down some game film for us and show us how he's been playing? how's he handling Melo playing at the 4? has he started playing defense? injuries still nagging him? does he start, or come off the bench? these are the important things to basketball fans clicking a basketball blog to click basketball news.

Good for him and all, but I don't see how this is NBA related at all. This is a story for Oprah Winfrey. it shouldn't matter a famous athlete is trying to change the world ; it's something we should all be doing, but I don't want to preach to you guys anymore than I want to be preached at.
