Rasheed Wallace needs foot surgery, out two more months

Rasheed Wallace hasn’t set foot on a court for the Knicks since December 13, yet the entire time he has been out the Knicks have listed him as day-to-day as if that was somehow going to keep the opposition off-guard. It was silly.

At least they have come clean now — Wallace needs surgery on his foot that will keep him out at least a couple months, the Knicks announced Wednesday afternoon. Shocking, I know.

Alan Hahn of the MSG Network had the details on twitter.

Hahn later corrected that is his left foot, which has always been the issue.

What that means is Wallace is out until after the playoffs have started. Maybe the second round.

Wallace provided a three-point threat as a big and some veteran savvy off the bench — 7.2 points a game in just less than 15 minutes a game. It wasn’t great play but it was what the Knicks needed.

If you’re looking for some better news, Knicks fans, Marcus Camby has been practicing and appears close to a return, Hahn tweeted.
