Metta World Peace hits Kenneth Faried with an elbow to the head, perhaps accidentally (VIDEO)

Feb 27, 2013, 7:45 PM EDT

This was the last play of the third quarter during the Lakers’ drubbing at the hands of the Nuggets on Monday, which might explain why there was no foul called on the play, and why it largely fell under the radar of just about everyone watching.

Ben Hochman of the Denver Post noticed, however, and thanks to his posting of the video we have the clip for you here.

You’d like to give Metta World Peace the benefit of the doubt, seeing as he raised his left elbow while his back was turned as Kenneth Faried came in to crash the boards.

But there’s just too much history where MWP is concerned to do that, and it would appear that this was a cheap shot he got away with — both at the time of the incident, and in the days that followed, since no action from the league office has been taken in terms of handing down a fine or suspension.

“This video is private.” Am I the only one that gets this?

Looks like he gambled to see if he can get a dirty shot in and he did.

Drop him 4 games, 1 for the act, 3 because he’s always on some talk show yapping about how much he changed from the Riot. Guy is a shuck and jive con man. Should work on Wall Street for Goldman Sachs.

He did it on purppse, Saw this vid like 10 times and ron artest sees kenneth going to get the rebounds and he calculates which way he is going and then he turns arounds and raises his elbow he should be kicked out of the nba no more suspensions.

I have to agree. How many of these incidents can the league tolerate. I’m so sick of hearing how he’s turned it around or matured or whatever. Kick him out.

Yeah, he was watching Faried all along and THREW his left elbow back.

You know, the best way to confront a bully is to punch him in the mouth !

“RON ARTEST” has been selling those “tough guy tickets” a long time.

He is not a skilled fighter. He doesn’t have any golden glove awards or black belts.

So basically, he’s just a street fighter, who would be matched up against another street fighter ….PONK that throws a lot of cheap shots !

I’d LOVE to see someone stoop to his level and beat the brakes off his tough guy facade.

Faried EASILY out played the entire FAKER big man corps!

Match him up against Blanka…Or maybe Zangief if we’re talking cheap shots

      • progress2011 - Feb 28, 2013 at 4:12 PM

I was thinking of matching him up with Kimbo Slice…….another “Fake Tough Guy” that can’t really fight AT ALL……ahahahaha !

The guy is just an animal and should be treated as such!
